Free cPanel-to-WHP Migrations — Now Available

If you've been following hosting-industry news over the last few weeks, you've likely seen the steady stream of critical cPanel security advisories. In a roughly three-week period, cPanel issued three Technical Security Releases covering nine-plus CVEs, including a CVSS 9.8 pre-authentication bypass that was actively exploited in the wild for two months before a patch existed. cPanel themselves have signaled that customers should expect this cadence to continue.

The headline issues from that window:

• CVE-2026-41940 — CVSS 9.8 pre-auth bypass in cPanel & WHM. Exploited as a zero-day from late February 2026; added to the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog with a federal patching deadline.
• CVE-2026-29202 — CVSS 8.8 remote code execution in the create_user API, patched May 8.
• CVE-2026-29203 — CVSS 8.8 privilege escalation via unsafe symlink handling, patched May 8.

We've been thinking about the long-term direction of cPanel for a while now. A note on email migration: to pull your existing messages over from your current host, we'll need the password for each email address you'd like migrated. There's no way around this — authenticating to the mailbox is the only way to retrieve the mail. We'll collect these securely when you schedule your migration and only use them for the duration of the transfer.
